It was beautiful day for this family session! I sure miss the warmer weather, but looking at these pictures reminds me of warmer days.

Not only was this family super easy to work with, but they all have amazing skin. Seriously, it just isn’t fair. All of the little ones look like their skin is made of porcelain. I could only wish!

This last one just makes me smile! Justine wanted a picture with her little sister Kate. What a great big sis!

Remember when it was warm enough to go outside without a jacket? Well, this session is from warmer days.

Sometimes kids just do better upside down. Although, I think Alora was pretty worried about her hair in the next one. Sisters.

The Sackleys are some of our good friends. AND of  course our girls LOVE when they come over because…well, they were blessed with three little girls just like us! They were so great for the session! This is one adorable family.

Meet Jaimee and Steve and cute little Carter!  When Nate and I were first starting out with our business, we did a lot of engagement photography.  Jaimee and Steve were some of our first clients! Now, Jaimee and Steve are photographers as well! We are so glad that we know this fabulous couple.

What a cool family! So laid back and fun to work with. It was fun to try both a nature and urban session with the same family.

This was a fantastic shoot! The two little cuties in the pictures below…they were AMAZING! Their parents are pretty awesome so it wasn’t that shocking.

October is the busiest month for Emily & Nate Photographers.  Especially for Family Portrait Sessions! Here is the first in a lot of family sessions I will be posting in the next few days.  Hopefully the weather holds for the next week or two so we can get everyone in before snow flies. You gotta love Idaho!

You see that sucker? That is the only thing that made him smile the whole time! The biggest smile came when he finally got to eat it, of course!

These last two were taken when the light was getting really low. We pulled out our two external flashes and two smaller umbrellas to shoot through.  Even though I really love the light summery colors in the photos above, it was fun to play around with flash and get the rich dark colors in the bottom photos.

The sweet smell of blossoms filled my nose with the promise of Spring. Could it be? Is Spring really…finally here? As we walked into the apple orchard, there was no mistaking all of the beautiful signs of Spring. The pink blossoms were everywhere! I felt as though we were in a far corner of heaven.  It was the perfect setting for this family session!
