This morning is perfect!  I woke up to birds chirping and the dripping of melting snow.  Nothing makes a morning more perfect than the promise of Spring! There are so many things that I love about Summer, but the number one reason is out door photoshoots!  I. Can’t. Wait. Indoor shoots can be fun, like this shoot for Treasure’s Bridal.

These were taken for a Quiceanera ad for Treasure’s Bridal. The dresses were so bright and Spring-y.  (I think I just heard another bird chirp!)

The beautiful bouquets were from Staker Floral and designed by Deborah.  They did a fantastic job.  I loved the sticks (not sure of what they are really called).  They give the bouquets such a fun and carefree feel.  I am still enjoying them in my house this week and yes, they still smell amazing.

These next few are probably the reason I have such bad Spring Fever now.  We were able to take them outside for a little bit and I am pretty sure these are some of my favorite from the day!

Isn’t her top hat cute!  She was styled by Kathy Reed (Designs by Kathy Reed), a local wedding planner. She works closely with Treasure’s Bridal.

This Saturday Nate and I did a photoshoot for Treasure’s Bridal in Idaho Falls.  We were photographing both bridal and quinceanera dresses.  I want to start by thanking our models, hair stylists, and florist. With out them this would not have been possible!  We will have a more detailed post later, but I had to put up a few sneak peek images today!

I recently had the opportunity to do another photoshoot for My Taylor Made’s Etys Shop.  Her cloths are so cute and comfortable for kids to wear.  Shannon is a fashion design major and loves using her talent to not only make adorable clothes for her own children, but to create patterns and clothing for others to enjoy!  Check out her shop HERE.

While we were in California for our Christmas vacation, we had the opportunity of meeting up with some local SoCal photographers for a model shoot.  There is a group called the SoCal Photog Shootout that gets together every few months to do a themed model shoot.  It is great education and an awesome opportunity to meet more friends!  If you are interested in finding out more about it, you can go to www.photogshootout.com/socal

Nate and I had so much fun!  It was definitely different than what we normally do, but it was refreshing at the same time.  Going to this made me want to plan my own photog get together!  There may be one coming in the near future…

Meet Kelly Lane, photographer by day, ultra-hotness model by night.  I LOVE how her pictures turned out!  After this shoot, I thought how FUN it would be to do an engagement night shoot.  Huh, huh…can you see the possibilities?!

Gorgeous, right?! It was so much fun to learn more about taking photos at night!  Thank you Becker for organizing this for us!

One of the fun photo shoots that Nate I got to participate in during WPPI was a night shoot.  Becker, JVS, Joe Photo and Mike Allen were some of the big name photographers that were instructing the group.  We were able to participate because we are members of The [b] School, an online community of photographers. (If you are a photographer you should really check it out. It is one of the best things I have done for our business.)

There were two “models” for this shoot.  They were actually, just really pretty photographers who were asked to model for us.  It was different for them to be on the other side of the lens, but they had a lot of fun with it!

I thought I would throw one stylized photo in to the mix. A little weathered action! Thought it would be fitting for this couple.

Sami and Joey were the last couple that I had the opportunity to photograph at the Portrait House Shoot. Let’s just say I went out with a bang! They are so HOT!  Seriously, they were sexy. That’s right…SEXY! I love how they were styled — it reminded me of old Hollywood.

Little know fact about me; I collect vintage clothing, mainly dresses.  So, being on a stylized shoot like this got the wheels turning.  Sometime in the near future I think I might be busting out some of my favorite dresses!  In the meantime, here is a little eye-candy for you.

Amanda and Mike have been married for eight years! Go Mike and Amanda! They were the only engagement couple at the model shoot that I did for Portrait House while in Vegas.  Amanda is actually a photographer, so I am sure it was fun to be on the other side of the camera!

I would have to say my favorite part of photographing this couple was being able to see that they still had passion for each other. In my experience sometimes when a couple has been together for awhile, they become guilty of the ‘the mom kiss’. The mom kiss is pretty much the ugliest kiss to photograph EVER. Shape your lips into a tight pucker and you will know what the mom kiss looks like. Anyway, they definitely still have the passion!

See what I mean? It is so great to see a couple that has been married for awhile, so in love!

Who agrees that Amanda has the MOST beautiful green eyes?! Nate has green eyes, so maybe I am a little bias, but aren’t they incredible.  They are light on the inside and the outer edge of the iris is a deep blueish green, so it really makes the light green pop!  Mike, I bet you love looking at those everyday!

Chantal was the first of this duo that I met. She is beautiful and confident and VERY calm in front of the camera. When Jared joined us for the session, he was a little quiet, but you could tell he was enjoying watching Chantal work it for the camera. They were so cute and fun to photograph.

In case you haven’t read the past post, these photos are from a fundraiser photo shoot I had the opportunity to be a part of while at WPPI in Las Vegas. It was to raise money for Habitat For Humanity through an organization called portrait house, started by Justin and Mary Marantz.  I was able to meet some amazing photographers and beautiful couples on this shoot and I am so happy that I did it!
